I decided to simplify my digital world today. I have done so by consolidating my email accounts to one account. Having many businesses and web identities can be a little bit daunting. Until today I had 8 email accounts. Email addresses that I never use, email addresses for ventures that never succeeded, email addresses, email addresses, and more email addresses.
I was a huge advocate of having an email address attached to your business website. In the late 90’s having an email address that was attached your website was the thing to do. It made you seem bigger than just a start-up to business colleagues and peers alike. Nowadays does it really matter? Does anyone really care if you have an @mydomain.com email address or does email today follow the same basic principals as the Web 2.0 phenomenon? Get information quickly and easily.
